Gene Barinholtz, PartnerGene Barinholtz joined KRD, when his group from Barinholtz & Horwitz merged with the firm. Gene heads up the Business Services area. He began his career in corporate accounting, moved to a small CPA firm and started his own firm in 1988. His substantial knowledge of accounting and business enables him to advise clients on a wide array of financial concerns, including tax and litigation support.
Gene graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Accounting. He is a member of the AICPA and Illinois CPA Society. Gene is a member of the Fox Valley Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of the Montessori School of North Hoffman.
Gene resides in Algonquin with wife Kelly and their two dogs, Cody and Zoe. They have two children, Jacob and Allison. Gene enjoys golf and gourmet cooking.
