Gene Barinholtz joined KRD, when his group from Barinholtz & Horwitz merged with the firm. Gene heads up the Business Services area.

Barinholtz began his career in corporate accounting following graduation from Northern Illinois University. He moved to a small CPA firm and then starting his own firm in 1988. His substantial knowledge of accounting and business enables him to advise clients on a wide array of financial concerns, including tax and litigation support.

Gene resides in Algonquin with wife Kelly and their two dogs, Cody and Zoe. They have two children, Jacob and Allison both in college. Gene enjoys golf and gourmet cooking.
